1. Quick Start Guide

Get up and running in under 5 minutes:

Step 1

Create your AETHON account

Sign up with your email address and enable two-factor authentication (mandatory). Verify your email to activate your account.

Step 2

Generate an API key on your exchange

Go to your exchange's API management page. Create a new key with trade and read permissions only. Withdrawal permissions must be disabled.

Important: Never share your API secret. AETHON encrypts all keys with AES-256 and cannot access them in plain text.

Step 3

Connect to AETHON

In your AETHON dashboard, go to Settings → Exchanges and paste your API key and secret. The system will verify the connection and permissions automatically.

Step 4

Select a strategy and risk profile

Choose from available strategies (Momentum Alpha, Mean Reversion, etc.) and set your risk tolerance: Conservative, Balanced, or Aggressive.

Step 5

Activate and monitor

Hit "Activate" and the AI takes over. Monitor performance in real time through your dashboard.

More exchanges are added regularly. Request an exchange if yours isn't listed.

3. API Key Setup

Binance example

Log in to Binance and go to API Management
Click "Create API" and label it AETHON
Enable: Enable Reading, Enable Spot & Margin Trading
Disable: Enable Withdrawals (critical!)
Optional: restrict to IP whitelist for extra security
Copy the API Key and Secret Key

Security tip: Add AETHON's server IPs to your exchange's API whitelist for maximum protection. You'll find them in Settings → Security.

Momentum Alpha

Trend-following strategy that identifies momentum breakouts across BTC, ETH, and top-20 altcoins. Best for medium-to-long timeframes.

Mean Reversion

5. Risk Management

Risk profiles

Conservative — Max 2% of portfolio per trade, max 8% total exposure, tight stop-losses
Balanced — Max 5% per trade, max 20% total exposure, moderate stop-losses
Aggressive — Max 10% per trade, max 40% total exposure, wider stop-losses

Dynamic risk engine

Regardless of your profile, the AI applies additional safeguards:

Volatility-adjusted position sizing (reduces size during high-vol periods)
Automatic stop-loss calibration based on ATR (Average True Range)
Correlation-aware exposure limits (avoids overconcentration)
Circuit breaker: pauses trading if drawdown exceeds your set threshold

6. Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard provides real-time visibility into:

Portfolio value — current total and daily change
Open positions — live P&L for each active trade
Trade history — full log with entry/exit prices, duration, and reasoning
Equity curve — visual performance over time
Monthly heatmap — returns broken down by month
Risk metrics — current drawdown, Sharpe ratio, win rate

7. FAQ

Can I run multiple strategies at once?

Yes. You can allocate different percentages of your portfolio to different strategies. The risk engine manages total exposure across all active strategies.

What happens during exchange downtime?

AETHON detects exchange connectivity issues and pauses trading for that exchange. Open positions are monitored via backup connections. You'll receive an alert notification.

Can I override or stop the AI?

Yes. You can pause any strategy instantly, close individual positions, or stop all trading with a single click. You always have full control.

How do I export my trade history?

Go to Dashboard → History → Export. Available formats: CSV, JSON, PDF. Useful for tax reporting.
